Approach
My approach is integrative and flexible to the needs of the person or people in front of me. Theoretically, the roots of my approach lie in Person-Centered, Strengths-Based, and Family Systems. I heavily integrate Attachment theory, Emotion-Focused therapy, Existential theory, Experiential therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment theory as well as often pull from Somatic techniques, The Gottman Method, and Mindfulness.
I see the therapeutic process as involving all parts of the being: mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical, and that change happens when these parts of being are genuinely activated and are married with both the practice of applicable skillsets and the intentional pursuit of insight into one’s own story and sense of self.
I am consistently seeking new information in the field to grow as a helping professional as well as often collaborating with those I serve in order to tailor the therapeutic process the best I can to their needs. It is job to meet you where you’re at and to be flexible in my approach as I accompany, witness, and guide you to where you would like to be.
With me you can expect to feel, to be challenged, to experience, to practice new patterns, and to be invited into curious exploration.
