Frequently Asked Questions
What are next steps?
Contact me through this website, calling me at (509)255-3015, or emailing me at anna@agapecounselingspokane.com to schedule a free 20 minute phone consultation or to schedule a first session.
What does a first session look like?
A good portion at the beginning of your session will be discussing informed consent and confidentiality, as well as having a conversation surrounding any questions that you may have. I want to make sure all of your concerns and wonderings have been effectively addressed about therapy, myself, or any other relevant matter so that you feel comfortable and confident in continuing on the journey that is ahead of us.
Beyond these matters, we will mainly discuss what brings you to therapy, what you would like to get out of therapy, and some background information of you and your story so that I can begin to piece together a robust understanding of you and your world. The first session, and sometimes even the second and third, can be thought of as getting to know each other sessions. It’s important that we take this time to explore and understand your personal journey and current circumstances so that we can move forward with strategies and direction that are tailored to you and what you may be needing in order to create change for yourself.
Do you offer in person and virtual services?
Yes, I offer both in person and virtual services. In person session are held in my office on the north side of Spokane at:
9631 N Nevada Suite 311
Spokane, WA, 99218.
I am on the third floor of the building, all the way at the end of the hall.
Virtual sessions can be offered to those residing in Washington state and are held on a link sent to you through a program called Simple Practice via a secure online portal.
Do you see adults and kids?
I do! I meet with adults of all ages for individual, couple, and family therapy. I meet with kids that are ages 8+ for individual therapy and children ages 5+ if they are a member of a family receiving family therapy services.
What are your fees?
Individual therapy per 50 minute session length: $115
Couple’s therapy per 50 minute session length: $120
Family therapy per 50 minute session length: $120
Do you take insurance?
Currently, I do no accept insurance and am considered an out-of-network provider. I understand this can be a significant hurdle to pursuing and receiving therapeutic care and so I have developed some alternative options for those in need.
Per the No Surprises Act, you are entitled to receive a Good Faith Estimate prior to receiving services. This Act is to avoid any surprise bills for the services that you will be provided and to allow full transparency around cost. A Good Faith Estimate will include the estimated costs for services and break downs of how these costs are broken down. You will be provided a Good Faith Estimate upon your decision to begin services and have a right to discuss estimates with me. What other options are available?
I am able to offer superbills, which are receipts of service that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement of your therapy fees. Check with your insurance company to learn more about your benefits and whether or not this may be an option for you. I am willing to assist in any way I can to make this process smooth as possible.
I also have reserved reduced rate spots available to those in need. Reach out to me regarding this option if you would find it helpful to do so, I am more than willing to do what I can to make therapy possible and accessible.
How do I pay?
Payment can be made via cash, check, or credit card for in person services. Payment can only be made via credit card for virtual services. All payments are due at time of service.
